we had a great team of high school students spend their spring break working with us last week. it wasn't an easy week, but it certainly was good and blessed. on their last night we had a time of worship together and they sang a song that was new to me (we tend to be a bit behind on music here!) and i haven't been able to get it out of my head since.

"Ruin Me"
Jeff Johnson

Woe to me I am unclean
A sinner found in your presence
I see You seated on your throne
Exalted your glory surrounds You

Now the plans that I have made
Fail to compare
When I see your glory

Ruin my life
The plans that I've made
Ruin desires for my own selfish gain
Destroy the idols that have taken Your place
Till it's You alone I live for
You alone I live for

HOLY HOLY IS THE LORD ALMIGHTY

march just hasn't been my month!

i started off the month with another round of food poisoning, somehow injured my knee last week while working with a team, and then was badly burned while cooking at the feeding center this weekend. here's hoping april's a little healthier!

Can you believe how big she's getting? What happened to the tiny little puppy I brought home in October??

Queretaro

This weekend, Laura and I traveled to Queretaro to visit Garry and Lori Jones (missionary friends) before they return to the states in a couple of weeks. We had a great weekend and enjoyed lots of Golf (card game) and Farkel (dice game), not to mention some great shopping in a nearby city (San Miguel de Allende) and sightseeing. Queretaro is known for its aqueducts, which run through the heart of the city and were originally constructed to bring water to a convent.

Garry shows off his impressive digital scoreboard for Golf.

izzy got fixed a couple of weeks ago. it didn't seem to slow her down much even though she had to wear a bandage for a week or so.she took her love of shredding tissue to a new level this week when she got ahold of a roll of paper towels.

Ladies Retreat (finally!)

finally...a few more pictures from the ladies retreat. as you can see, the evolution of dance was pretty amazing. haha. it really was a great weekend and, of course, lots of fun!
