personality profile

during orientation this fall, we took the myers-briggs personality test. i recently took it again, and while the results were the same, they were a little more extreme. interesting how that works. anyway, if you click on this, you can take the test for free. i'd love to know how some of you score.

The Cuy Song

one of the girls i worked camp in ecuador with sent this to me. its absolutely hilarious! a common site on the streets in ecuador is guinea pig being roasted. it's really not so bad either! anyway, check out this song some campers wrote this summer about their experiences. enjoy!

butterfly kisses

my sister and i taught a few of "my kids" what butterfly kisses are. they loved it!

Ulysses

if you've ever looked at my blog, you've more than likely seen pictures of my favorite little kids, Ulysses. here's a video we made a few weeks ago of us playing with a jump rope. watch how excited he gets! i think he demonstrates the essence of a true "happy dance" :)

RAIN!!!

we had a great storm one afternoon while my sisters were here. i'm pretty excited about rainy season!

more randomness

my sisters and i were being pretty silly. as was my friend wes, who was on the phone. :)

6 Months

today marks 6 months to the day since i arrived in GDL. hard to believe really. in so many ways, i feel like a completely different person. God has stretched me in ways i never imagined (and in all the ways i imagined) but He's been so faithful and taught me so much. what a ride it has been! i look forward to the next 15 months!

It's been awhile!

man, i'm really not very good at this blogging thing. in my defense, it's been a rather busy summer so far! but so so much fun! after the first team left in june, my aunt came to visit for a few days. then, we had another high school team. this one from shelbyville, KY. they came to Mfuge here two years ago, so it was great to get to see some old friends. AND my sisters flew in with them. we had an incredible week and i loved getting to show my sisters what exactly it is that i do here. the next week, my parents joined us and we enjoyed some family time. it was wonderful just to be with them! we also spent a few days at a beach resort in Manzanillo, which didn't hurt! ;) anyway, enjoy the pictures.
